Congratulations to Relic’s May God Have Mercy On You FDC CA BCAT RATCH DJ CGC ATT FITS TL UL SD LI aka *MERCY* for winning the 2025 CCAA Member’s Choice Award! Thank you to all the members who took the time to vote for this award! This was a competitive race between 2 very deserving candidates! Mercy’s family will be presented with her plaque at the Awards Banquet at our 2026 National Specialty! Congratulations to Debbie Webb for Mercy’s achievements! Below is Mercy’s impressive bio:
“It has been 3 very busy and fun years since I got my Mercy. She was such a tiny baby at 8 weeks old, I can't believe she is now 120 pounds of lean muscle. She is my third Cane Corso. Between her and my male they keep me extremely busy, and on my toes. She started her conformation at 6 months doing AKC and IABCA. While she did good earning numerous titles, I could tell this was not her passion. At 6 months, we tried Barn Hunt and boy did we find her niche. In the next 6 months she already had her Novice and Open titles. I am proud to say by 2 years old she was the first Cane Corso to get her Barn Hunt championship title. She absolutely loves to hunt. Mercy has such a huge fan club, to know her is to love her. When she was 10 months old, I saw an announcement that a k9 casting agency was looking for a dog in my area for a huge commercial with the South Carolina Lottery. I sent a pic of her and a bio, and within 24 hours they were calling saying the clients wanted Mercy for the commercial. When we got to the set, Mercy walked in like she owned the place. She is the most confident, fearless dog I have ever seen. The k9 agency was so impressed with her behavior, especially being a puppy. She started dock diving lessons at 6 months. She had never been in water before and after 5 minutes showing her the ramp, she was running down the ramp retrieving the toy, the trainer said she has never had a dog this easy. A year later she got her Dock Junior title. We then tried her scent skills with a NASDA trial. In a 3-day weekend she earned all 4 titles, Urban location, Trailing and Locating, Lost item, and Shed dog. Along with these new titles she also received the fastest time for Shed locating, and Lost item. The judges all say it’s fascinating to watch her work. She is always so willing to do anything I ask of her. When we started agility training nothing phased her. We joke that she's like a kid on a playground when she’s on the field. She will go rogue halfway through class and just run to the teeter and go back and forth on it. Mercy just turned 3 in December. She has accomplished so much in such a short time. Mercy has been such a huge ambassador for the breed. At so many of these events this is the first time people have been around a Corso, and they come up to us and just rave about what a sweet, smart girl she is. So far there is nothing that she has not been successful in. When she is not competing and making friends she loves running in the pastures with my boy Hades, and then of course jumping in the horses’ water troughs. She is also a world class snuggler, between her and my male in bed at night I of course only have a few inches on the side, but I would not change it for the world. She has taught me so much in such a short time and I can't wait to see what this year brings us. We will be starting in the rally ring in February so wish us luck. – Debbie Webb” Comments are closed.
