2020 Board Member's Choice Award – Garrett Eberly
 
Congratulations to Garrett Eberly for being selected by the 2020 CCAA Officers and Directors to receive the inaugural 2020 CCAA Board Member's Choice Award!  Garrett Eberly served the club and its membership during 2020 by actively participating in various committees, including the Membership, Awards and Standings, Election Oversight, Working and Public Relations Committees, where he assisted the Committee Chairs with new initiatives and helped work on unfinished projects.  Garrett’s efforts serve as an example of the level of dedication and effort any one member can give of themselves to the club and, in doing so, has brought great credit upon himself, the club and the membership.
 
The intent of the CCAA Board Member's Choice Award is to recognize committee members actively participating in the club by serving on a committee and/or going above and beyond on behalf of the membership in a 100% volunteer capacity.  Its purpose is to:

1. recognize those actively participating in the management and promotion of the club;
2. serve as initiative to current CCAA members to participate in the club and work hard on behalf of the membership; and
3. serve as catalyst to non-club members within the Cane Corso community to become members and work hard on behalf of the club and its membership.

 
By November 30th of every year, each Board member and/or Committee Chairperson (if different from the acting Board Member) may submit a current committee member for consideration via written proposal, which would need to adequately outline the committee member’s efforts.  Strongest consideration is given to selecting a committee member that is displaying efforts such as, but not limited to:

• actively serving on multiple committees;
• taking on miscellaneous projects outside of his or her scope of responsibilities;
• initiating membership involvement; and/or
• accomplishing a long standing task.

 
The selection of the annual recipient of the CCAA Board Member's Choice Award would be determined via Board Member vote at the December board meeting each year and announced on the CCAA’s blog by January 15th.  A plaque will be presented to the recipient at the annual awards banquet and the recipient’s name listed in the annual Hall of Fame on the CCAA’s website.
