A Guide To The 2021 CCAA National Specialty Events

​In an effort to provide the most recent developments regarding the Cane Corso Association of America’s 2021 National Specialty weekend, below is some great information to help you navigate through everything going on during the cluster!  As previously announced, the Cane Corso Association of America’s 2021 National Specialty weekend will be held in conjunction with the Olympic Kennel Club and the Mount Rainier Working Dog Club in Enumclaw, Washington, from August 19th to August 22nd at the Enumclaw Expo Center.
 
As in prior years, the CCAA is making sponsorship of trophies available to all and our trophy sponsorship website can be found here: https://www.payit2.com/p/ccaa2021! 
 
The superintendent for all eight shows is BaRay Event Services, Inc. and all entries can be made at https://www.barayevents.com/enter-show.  Each show must be entered individually and each sweepstakes must be entered as a separate class. 
 
Below is a schedule of events updated as of July 22nd, 2021, all of which will be held on-site at the Enumclaw Expo Center, except for the annual awards banquet:
 
THURSDAY, 08.19.2021:

• The CCAA will hold a supported entry on Thursday in conjunction with the Mount Rainer Working Dog Club specialty.

  • The Cane Corso Club of the Pacific Northwest will also be offering prizes in support of this entry.
• Bred By Exhibitor Open Sweepstakes Judge Mr. Michael Floyd

• Obedience trial and Rally trial – the Cane Corso Association of America sponsors the breed trophies at these trials

FRIDAY, 08.20.2021:

• The CCAA will hold a supported entry on Friday in conjunction with the Mount Rainer Working Dog Club specialty.
  • Judge Mr. Jon R. Cole
  • The Cane Corso Club of the Pacific Northwest will also be offering prizes in support of this entry.
  • Heather Vitcusky will be providing judge ringside mentoring.
• Puppy and Veteran Sweepstakes Judge Ms. Cynthia Woodward
• Obedience trial and Rally trial – the Cane Corso Association of America sponsors the breed trophies at these trials

• The CCAA will hold its 2021 CCAA Breeder’s Cup Invitational and Young Prospect Challenge.
  • Judges:
    • Ms. Elizabeth (Betsy) Shauck
    • Mr. Max Tran
    • Mr. Adrian W. Woodfork
  • To be held in the evening, one hour after Best In Show, in the Les Schwab Building (also referred to as the Toy Building) of the Enumclaw Expo Center.  Click here for a map of the show grounds.
  • The Cane Corso Club of the Pacific Northwest will be providing light refreshments.
  • There will also be a 4 to 6 Month Puppy Showcase running concurrently in a separate ring judged by Ms. Heather Vitcusky.
  • Entries close 11:59am EST on August 4th, 2021.  Entries made for the Breeder’s Cup Invitational AFTER JULY 21ST will not receive a personalized participation rosette.  Personalized participation rosettes are only for Breeder's Cup Invitational entries.

SATURDAY, 08.21.2021:

• The CCAA will hold its 2021 National Specialty on Saturday in conjunction with the Olympic Kennel Club.

  • Puppy and Veteran Sweepstakes Judge Ms. Heather Vitcusky
• Obedience trial and Rally trial – the Performance Cane Corso of America and Working Molossers United sponsors the breed trophies at these trials and supports the entry

• CCAA-Sponsored University of Missouri Blood Draw and Repository
  • To be held from 9am to 11am at the Cane Corso Club of the Pacific Northwest booth.
  • Forms will be available at the booth or can be downloaded ahead of time by clicking here.

 

• 2021 CCAA Annual Membership Meeting Notice for All CCAA Members in Good Standing
  • To be held on August 21, 2021
  • To be held one hour after the completion of the Cane Corso breed judging.
  • To be held at the Enumclaw Expo Center National Specialty show site, 45224 284th Ave SE, Enumclaw, WA 98022.  The general location will be in the area outside of the Cane Corso breed ring.  The exact location is to be determined, pending any show and/or Covid restrictions.
  • Only CCAA members in good standing are allowed to be in attendance, per Article II, Section I of the CCAA bylaws.

• The CCAA will hold its 2021 Western Regional Specialty on Sunday in conjunction with the Olympic Kennel Club.

  • Heather Vitcusky will be providing judge ringside mentoring.
