Why is membership with the Cane Corso Association of America important to you as a Cane Corso owner/breeder? The CCAA, in its role as the parent breed club for the AKC, has the task of revising the Cane Corso Standard minimally every 5 years.
The CCAA Breed Standard Committee suggests changes to the breed standard and the Board of Directors presents them to the AKC. The AKC then recommends any changes needed to clarify the proposed changes. The proposed breed standard changes are then sent to the CCAA members for approval. The member-approved changes are then sent to the AKC for final approval and implementation. Your vote for upcoming standard changes as a member of the CCAA is crucial. If you have not already joined, please note that the deadline for voting privileges for the 2018 election and approval of the breed standard revision, the CCAA Bylaw revisions and the election of the Officers and Directors is April 16, 2018 (April 15 falls on a Sunday, making the 16th the new deadline). Please take the time now to join and have a say in your breed club's important decisions. You can join the CCAA by visiting our online membership application. Comments are closed.
